Does Enterprise eTIME comply with Federal Labor
Standard Requirements for storing data?
The eTIME software will electronically store each employee's
timecard information, eliminating the need to store paper
timecards or timesheets in boxes. This electronic data storage
enables you to comply with the Federal Labor Standard Requirement
which states that you must save time and labor management
records for up to three years.
I have multiple federal ID numbers. Can I run multiple
companies from the Enterprise eTIME software?
Yes. The software can accommodate any number of company codes
(Federal ID numbers).
Which ADP payroll services interface with Enterprise
eTIME?
Enterprise eTIME data can be transmitted electronically directly
to and from ADP PC/Payroll for Windows and Pay eXpert payroll
services. Enterprise eTIME also interfaces to over 200 non-ADP
payroll systems.
What is the Enterprise eTIME database structure?
Enterprise eTIME supports SQL Server or Oracle. The client
supplies the database. The use of an industry-standard
database allows you to interface Enterprise eTIME data
with other third party software products.
Will salaried employees be required to punch in?
No. You can decide if you wish to include salaried personnel
in Enterprise eTIME. A separate pay rule can be established
to track their time. Or, you can use the Enterprise Professional
timesheet product to track time by activity or job.
How often does the in and
out punch data get from the timeclock or the HandPunch® reader
to the software?
It is recommended that the clock data be downloaded to the
software at least once a day. Your ADP representative can
schedule this to occur automatically.
How can I purchase Enterprise eTIME?
Enterprise eTIME software is available on a subscription
basis only. The electronic timeclocks and HandPunch readers
can be subscribed to or purchased, depending on your preference.

FEATURES
Can I keep track of different labor levels and perform
job costing with the Enterprise eTIME software?
The Enterprise eTIME system does accommodate labor distribution/tracking.
However, it does not support piecework. The Enterprise eTIME
system can track up to seven levels of information, such
as division, department and job. Each level can be programmed
into the software. You can track the number of hours employees
are spending in a division, department or job, by having
employees initiate a transfer at the timeclock, at the HandPunch,
or within the timesheet (Professional). The Enterprise eTIME
software accepts these transfers and calculates employee
hours accordingly. You can generate labor distribution reports
to manage your business needs.
Can I keep track of my employees' absences, such
as holidays, vacation, personal days and sick days?
The Enterprise eTIME system has the capability to assign
and keep track of a variety of "non-worked" pay codes. These
codes include holiday, vacation, personal and sick days.
With the optional Accruals module, you can track "non-worked" hours
against each employee's accrual. As you grant non-worked
time to an employee, this time is taken from the employee's
accrued balance. Each employee's accrual balance is determined
based on your company's accrual policies. You can also interface
accruals from payroll and feed this information into Enterprise
eTIME - giving employees access to accruals information on
their timesheet, as well as on their paycheck.
Can I install a timeclock at a remote location,
for example, at our branch office across town?
Yes. You can install any number of clocks at a variety of
locations. In fact, you can install a timeclock cross-town
and cross-country, if need be. These remote type locations
provide for the download of the information via modem or
Ethernet to your Enterprise eTIME software installed at your
'home' office. The download is quick and simple and is managed
right from your PC.
One of our biggest concerns is managing our overtime.
Can Enterprise eTIME software track overtime hours by employee
and by department?
The Enterprise eTIME software offers several methods for
tracking overtime hours, such as over 8 hours in a day or
40 hours in a week, and it provides reports selected by employee
and/or department. In fact, one of the many reports available
is an 'Employees Approaching Overtime Report,' which shows
the cumulative hours worked during the pay period at any
point in time. This helps you determine which employees to
schedule; saving you money in overtime costs. In addition,
if needed, Enterprise eTIME can re-distribute overtime worked.
If an employee stays late on Monday to do extra work in department
100 on Monday causing overtime hours, the system can bet
setup to ensure these overtime hours will redistribute and
be applied to Department 100.
What happens if one of our employees forgets to
swipe in on any given day?
The Enterprise eTIME system has a schedule feature that enables
you to define the working hours for each of your staff. If
any of your staff members forget to swipe in or out on a
given day, this omission will show up as an exception on
our 'Exception Report,' enabling you to identify and correct
these missed punches quickly and easily.
My company runs multiple shifts. Can Enterprise
eTIME accommodate this?
Yes. Enterprise eTIME can be set up to track multiple shifts
per schedule or per employee each work day. That will provide
you with a record of hours worked in each shift for each
employee.
Can Enterprise eTIME track different classes of
employees, for example full-time, part-time, or even temporary
employees?
Yes. You can set up a different pay rule for each group and
apply your company policies to each. For instance, you can
set up a 45 minute paid lunch time for full-time wage earners,
a 30 minute paid lunch time for part-time employees and a
30 minute unpaid lunch for temporary employees. The system
is flexible and can be configured to accommodate your needs.
How can I prevent unauthorized entry into the Enterprise
eTIME system?
Enterprise eTIME can be set up to allow different security
levels of access to the data stored in the program. This
enables you to select which function or information each
user (i.e., employee, manager, system administrator, etc.)
will have access to in Enterprise eTIME (i.e., wage information,
punch information, editing capability, pay codes, labor entries,
etc.)
SERVICE
Will ADP install the Enterprise eTIME software and
hardware (timeclocks/HandPunch readers)?
An ADP representative installs and configures the Enterprise
eTIME software. Depending on the hardware being used, either
you or ADP can install the timeclock or HandPunch reader.
In addition, a Project Leader will assist you throughout
the entire implementation process.
Is there an additional charge for maintenance?
When you subscribe to our Enterprise eTIME service, the maintenance
is included free of charge. If you purchase hardware (timeclock,
HandPunch), a yearly maintenance fee is charged.
What if my hardware breaks?
The type of hardware (timeclocks or HandPunch readers) you
purchase will determine the specific procedure. All service
is included with the maintenance agreement. Usually hardware
is replaced within 24 business hours.
